What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is a specialized field where Certified Music Therapists (MTAs) strategically incorporate music into therapeutic interactions to enhance development, promote health, and improve overall well-being. These professionals use music in a safe and ethical manner to meet various human needs across cognitive, communicative, emotional, musical, physical, social, and spiritual areas. For more information please visit the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT) or Music Therapy Association of BC (MTABC)
What is Creative Care?
Creative Care encompasses all forms of creative art therapies including, but not limited to, art therapy, drama therapy, and music therapy. Currently, Sound Path Creative Care only offers music therapy services, but we intend to grow and expand the creative care we offer to our clientele.
Where does Sound Path Creative Care function?
Sound Path Creative Care currently offers music therapy services to organizations that function within the Fraser Valley. If this is you, get in contact, if this isn’t you, get in contact!
I’m not an organization, can I still reach out?
Of course. Part about working in community settings means connecting with those in our community. You do not need to receive services from us to say a hello, and we always love to talk music and creative pursuits, so please get in contact, and we can see if 1:1 services can serve you at this time.
Do you have a studio location?
Currently Sound Path Creative Care is focusing energy on developing community partnerships. That means working alongside organizations at their space of business. Sound Path Creative Care does not have a studio location, but intends to expand in the future, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open! Traveling to client homes for 1:1 sessions is always an option. Reach out to have a conversation about what your needs are.
Why does creativity matter?
Sound Path Creative Care believes that creativity is an innate aspect of the human experience. This does not mean it needs to be perfected, or even pursued at every point of life. However, it may allow us to connect with our community, ourselves, and to opportunities of growth and experience that may not have been available to us before. Further, every person should have opportunity to connect in creative pursuits, this means focusing on accessible and tailored programming for any who participate at Sound Path Creative Care. Reach out today, and lets see how we can develop a sound path together!
